What has kept the cost of Concentrated Photovoltaic’s so high? The technology is simple and relatively inexpensive; a small amount of CPV cells and a lens or reflector, that’s it!
So what IS keeping it too expensive? The WIND; when you have a structure that is anchored to the earth and needs to pivot to follow the sun, that structure needs to be built strong enough to withstand the strongest possible wind that is likely to blow in that area. Also CPV cells get very hot and must kept cool to perform as designed and not be destroyed.
Therefore it’s not the technology cost that is high; it’s the structural and cooling costs. How do you avoid high structural costs? Avoid high winds. Sunengy has a solution!

Watched the New Inventors show last night.
This one has the KEEF stamp of approval.
PLEASE show us these working, make them and sell them to the eager public.
PLEASE don’t follow the path of the many 3J solar startups and simply sell licenses, shares , franchises for the next 5 years without delivering any product!!!
Good luck…I’ll be watching your progress.
